Al Qaeda
Al-Qaeda means The Base in Arabic language. Al Qaeda is an international group of extremist Islamic militant. They have formed a terrorist organizations in 1988 lead by Azzam. The organization has is now run by Osama Bin Laden. The main objectives of Al Qaeda is believed to be ending the foreign influence in Muslim countries and the building of a united Islamic nation.
Al Qaeda is known to have attacked civilian and military targets in various countries around the world. Their method of terrorism attacks include suicide bombings and bombing at multiple targets where there are lot of civilians. In Septermber 11, 2001, they attacked the United States, killing thousands of innocent people. This attack resulted in US government launching military and political task force popularly known as War On Terror against Al Qaeda since then.
The world organizations that condemns and label Al Qaeda as a terrorist organization are the United Nations Security Council, Public Safety Canada, the Israel Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Japan’s Diplomatic Bluebook, South Korean Foreign Ministry, the Dutch Military Intelligence and Security Service, the North Atlantic Treaty Organization Secretary General, the Commission of the European Communities of the European Union, the United States Department of State, the Australian Government, the United Kingdom Home Office, Russia, the Swedish Ministry for Foreign Affairs, and the Swiss Government.
