Britney Spears was taken from her home by ambulance early Thursday and escorted to the hospital by more than a dozen police officers.

TMZ reports that at least 10 motorcycle cops and two regular squad cars accompanied the ambulance carrying Britney Spears to the UCLA Medical Center. Spears has looked worn out while talking with paramedics, was said to have been under the influence of an unknown substance. However, later reports claimed she tested negative for drugs.

The recent hospitalization comes just weeks after Spears was rushed to the hospital on Jan. 3 following a police stand off. She was held for a mental evaluation before checking herself out 48 hours later.

Spears confidant Sam Lutfi arrives at the hospital. Rumors of a Spears suicide attempt were all over the Internet in the hours leading up to Spears hospitalization.
