Carnival cruise is not to be confused with other cheap and bad quality cruise lines. Carnival Cruise lines are cruises that operate with large number of cruise ships. Carnival Cruise was first started in 1972 by Ted Arison and since then has been branded within Carnival Corporation & plc, a publicly traded company with Micky Arison as the Chairman.

When Hurricane Katrina hit United States, three of the Carnival cruise ships were chartered by the government for six months to serve as a temporary housing in the aftermath of the disaster. There are many types of carnival cruises with different classes like pre-holiday, holiday, fantasy, destiny, spirit, conquest, splendor, and future ships.
