Apple iTunes have made it possible for Canadians to download tv show from the US and Canada, although the programs are much shorter compared to the American iTunes site. The show that you can download in Canada are shows like Little Mosque on the Praire and many top American tv shows like South Park. They are available to download for Canadian $1.99.

Apple Inc started selling tv shows for downloads to U.S. customers in October 2005. They started this in the U.K. in August of this year. Because of how popular the Apple iTunes is, more than 50 cable networks including ABC, CBS and Fox have deals in place to sell their programs via the iTunes store in the U.S. for $1.99 (U.S.) an episode.

“This gives Canadians another choice when they are trying to decide how they want to enjoy programs they love and it gives them even more content that they can enjoy on their iPod,” said Peter Lowe, director of marketing for iTunes in Canada.
Canadian television fans can now download programming from the U.S. and Canada through Apple Inc.’s popular iTunes online store.

Canadian NHL fans get access to hockey games during the nhl season; not only that they can download classic Stanley Cup games. Apple has decided to build the TV download website of Canada slowly over time, the same way the store evolved in the U.S.
