Iowa Caucus Begins for Presidential Candidates

Presidential Candidates are looking to make a strong impression as the crucial Iowa caucuses begin. Top two Democratic candidates Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama vied for victory in the Iowa caucuses. Mike Huckabee battled Mitt Romney among Republicans.

In the survey, Democrat John Edwards was behind his rivals entering their caucuses. Iowans were rendering their judgments in meetings at 1,781 precincts from Adel to Zwingle, in schools, firehouses and community centers where the candidates themselves could not follow.

In many interviews before the caucuses took place, about half the Democrat voters have said that their candidate’s ability to bring about needed change was one of the most important factor that take very seriously. Very few voters have thought about that experience, a candidate’s ability to care about people like them or having the best chance to capture the White House.

For the Republicans, the largest group of voters consider the most important quality in picking a candidate is the one who shared their values. Somewhat fewer said they wanted a candidate who says what he believes in.
